Ring of Fire & Hope – December 31st @ 7 PM Sharp

Ring of Fire & Hope is one of Birch Bay’s most meaningful New Year’s traditionsβ€”an evening of reflection, connection, and hope as we light the shoreline together.

While the Birch Bay Chamber helps spread the word and offers a limited number of complimentary flares (thanks to Bay Center Market!), this is a community-led tradition that has grown organically over the years, shaped by the people who show up year after year to take part.

A few important reminders to help keep this event safe and enjoyable for everyone:
πŸ”₯ Flare Distribution
β€’ A limited number of complimentary flares
β€’ Available ONLY on December 30 & 31 β€” no early pick-up
β€’ One flare per family
β€’ Must be 18+ to receive a flare

πŸ“ Pick-up locations & times:
β€’ Dec 30 & 31 | 10 AM–4 PM at the Visitor Information Center
β€’ Dec 31 | 4–7 PM at Birch Bay Beach Park (while supplies last)

🌱 Protect the Berm
Please stay out of fenced areas and use designated access points. The young native plants on the berm play a vital role in preventing erosion, supporting wildlife, and protecting our shorelineβ€”thank you for helping care for this special place.

🧹 Leave No Trace
Please pack out what you pack in and help leave the beach just as you found itβ€”or better. A clean shoreline helps ensure this tradition can continue for years to come.

We’re grateful to be part of such a thoughtful, respectful communityβ€”and we can’t wait to welcome the New Year together.
