Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve features 54 acres of forest, bluff and beach, with a 3/4 mile fully accessible trail to spectacular viewpoints of the Strait of Georgia and San Juan Islands. A switchback path descends from the bluff to access a windswept cobble beach.
This park is rarely crowded (in fact some days you may not see anyone else) and is a great no-cost park to visit in Birch Bay. It’s hike is the perfect length for families with small children and the beach has great views of the San Juan Islands.
