The Birch Bay Polar Bear Plunge is an annual New Year’s Day tradition which generally brings hundreds to the shores of Birch Bay, WA for a ceremonial dip into the bay. 2021 was the 38th annual event, however due to COVID-19 The Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce asked people to participate Burr-tually (or virtually) and plunge only with their immediate household and send us photos and videos.
